Wrapper Rose of Nice

310126 Maker: C. Adler, Hamburg, and Amédée Delbecchi, Nice. „Vedute ni Nice, nella forma d’una Rosa. Nice, vue prise de la Tour Clérissy“. Inscription in copper red and view of the city. Steel engraving. 79x140 mm. Circa 1880.

The duchy of Savoy together with the county of Nice went over to France in 1860. The long inclusion into the Italian-speaking area is reflected by the title of our sheet. The „„Tour Clérissy“ is called „Tour Bellanda“ today.

Cut out, somewhat irregularly, from the envelope of a fan, pasted by the corners on paper, in an older brass frame.
