310459 GAMES Le Moniteur Électrique. Breveté S.G.D.G. No. B 204 (The electric teacher. Patented S.G.D.G. No. B 204). Wooden box with illustrated hinged lid, inside with 2 plugs, a bell and 6 two-sided illustrated question sheets. 263x313x120 mm (box), 157x253 mm (sheets). Circa 1900.
The questions are each on the left and the answers on the right side of the sheets, they are perforated, under them are sockets. If the answer is correct, the circuit closes and the bell sounds. The topics: famous contemporaries (with portraits of V. Hugo, Sadi Carnot, President of the Republic, assassinated in 1894...), music, chronology (nicely illustrated), the metric system, and also puns, fortunes... The instructions were printed by Picard & Lévy, 10, rue Béranger, Paris.
Lid slightly rubbed, a small defect at the red paper liner on the inside of the lid, the sheet of rules on pink paper with folding marks and marginal tears, the old battery replaced with a new one, otherwise very good conservation and in working order.
