Illustrated wine list No. 54 of the wine wholesalers van Beekum und Lehmann, Remagen, on the evacuation of the Rhineland by the British and French. 4 pages. Design: Carl Nonn (1876-1949). Line block and type in red and black. 294x229 mm. 1930.
In it offered a „Befreiungs-Kiste“ (liberation case) as a „treudeutscher Gruß vom Rhein“ (loyal German greeting from the Rhine) - and Moselle (including 1929 Ediger Pfaffenberg). Otherwise, among the Moselle wines, a 1929 Ediger Osterlämmchen! The little pictures in the framing of the first page reproduce the Romanesque reliefs on the gate of the church of St. Peter and Paul in Remagen. Two of the other pictures, including on the first page the picture of the Rhine with the rising sun and the departing French soldier, are signed by the Bonn painter Carl Nonn. The wine wholesaler van Beekum and Lehmann was founded in 1896 and went bankrupt in 1933.
A horizontal folding mark through the middle, a tiny marginal tear, otherwise very good conservation.
