Magnet with a remarkable advertising label of "Brand 'Asbach Uralt' - real old cognac from natural wines - Rüdesheim". Hugo Asbach, the distiller, had learned the production of cognac in France. Returning to Germany, he gave the same name to his own products. After the First World War, however, the Treaty of Versailles forbade this designation for a German product. Hugo Asbach then called his product "Weinbrand", a term he had already registered as a trademark at the Patent Office.

The cardboard is covered with Japanese Satogami paper and equipped with a strong magnet.

Each of these objects from Cornelia Kurtz's workshop is unique. Tracked down by Cartobook in forgotten boxes and drawers, the individual paper antiques now enter the public domain and seem as fresh now as they did when they were made and distributed with care.
