A stressed servant
310264 J.E. Goossens, Lille and 20 rue Gérando, Paris. Folding card advertising the long-burning stove La Salamandre, invented and built by the engineer Edmond Chaboche (1857-1929). A stressed servant tries to activate an open fire with a bag bellow. Folding back the flap shows a merry maid with a feather burner sitting in front of the stove. Chromolith. 110x86 mm. Backs: View of the stove. Circa 1900.
The stove was a great success. His constructor also built - but with much less fortune - steam cars from 1900 till 1906.
2 small repaired marginal tears, the back somewhat stained.
