Reunion with customers and colleagues
An unusual winter lies behind us. So much snow in January - when was the last time this happened in the rather mild climate of the Moselle?
It's now February and the forsythia are getting ready to take off...
.... and Jean Darquenne with daughter Lily.
A paradise for collectors
Cartobook is once again taking part in the "Salon Européen du livre ancien" from Friday afternoon, 1 March, to Sunday afternoon, 3 March 2024, in Colmar, Alsace.
Antiquarian book dealers from France and neighbouring countries will meet here for the 22nd time to present their treasures in the fields of literature, autographs, graphic art and painting.
The event is organised by the "Association Autour du Livre en Alsace".http://www.autourdulivre.eu/
Meeting place: "Koifhus"
As every year, you will find the exhibition rooms in the "Koifhus", an Alsatian term meaning "department stores'". The impressive Gothic and Renaissance building is also known as the "Ancienne Douane" (old customs). It is considered the oldest public building in Colmar.
You will meet Jean Darquenne and his daughter Lily at stand no. 14 on the ground floor of the Koifhus.
Treasures waiting for lovers
Cineyexpo in Belgium over Easter
The next event follows shortly afterwards:
The Cineyexpo, the big antiques market in Ciney in Belgium over the Easter holidays. There you will find antiques from all possible eras, as well as bric-a-brac, curiosities, entire collections and contemporary art.
Jean Darquenne and his son Jérôme, a tried and tested team, are already listing what they will be taking with them this time.
The cellar and "Wunderkammer" are full of treasures that will make collectors' eyes light up.
Let yourself be surprised.
The Expo runs for four days from Friday, 29 March 2024 to Monday, 1 April 2024 in the Rue du Marché in Ciney.https://cineyexpo.be
